Chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) is a powder product of suspension chlorination of HDPE in the water phase. With the increase of chlorination degree, the original crystalline HDPE gradually becomes an amorphous elastomer. [1] Chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) is a saturated polymer material, the appearance of white powder, non-toxic and tasteless, with excellent weather resistance, ozone resistance, chemical resistance and aging resistance, with good oil resistance, flame retardant and coloring properties. Good toughness (still flexible at -30ºC), has good compatibility with other polymer materials, high decomposition temperature, decomposition of HCL, HCL can catalyze the dechlorination reaction of CPE.



Chlorinated polyethylene is a polymer material prepared from high density polyethylene (HDPE) by chlorination substitution reaction. According to the different structure and use, chlorinated polyethylene can be divided into resin chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) and elastic type chlorinated polyethylene (CM) two categories. In addition to being used alone, thermoplastic resins can also be blended with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), ABS and even polyurethane (PU). In the rubber industry, CPE can be used as a high-performance, high-quality special rubber, and can also be blended with ethylene propylene rubber (EPR), butyl rubber (IIR), nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR), chlorosulfonated polyethylene (CSM) and other rubbers.

In the late 1990s, the domestic demand for high-performance flame retardant rubber is growing, especially the development of wire and cable industry and auto parts manufacturing industry, which has driven the consumer demand for rubber CPE. Rubber type CPE is a kind of special synthetic rubber with excellent comprehensive properties, heat resistance to oxygen ozone aging and good flame retardancy.



Chlorinated polyethylene resin is a new kind of synthetic material with a series of excellent properties. It is an excellent impact modifier of PVC plastic, and also a synthetic rubber with good comprehensive performance. It has a very wide range of applications, and has been widely used in cables, wires, hose, tape, rubber and plastic products, sealing materials, flame-retardant transport belts, waterproof rolls, films and various profiles and other products. CPE can also be blended with polypropylene, high and low pressure polyethylene, ABS, etc., to improve the flame retardancy, aging resistance and printing performance of these plastics. CPE can be regarded as ethylene, polyethylene and 1.21-2 vinyl chloride random copolymer, its molecular chain saturation, polar chlorine atoms random distribution, because of its excellent physical and chemical properties, widely used in machinery, electric power, chemical, building materials and mining industry. CPE heat resistance, ozone and weather resistance, aging resistance is better than most rubber, oil resistance is better than nitrile (NBR), neoprene (CR), aging resistance is better than chlorosulfonated vinyl chloride (CSM); Acid, alkali, salt and other corrosion properties, non-toxic, flame retardant, no explosion risk.



Mainly used in: wire and cable (coal mine cable, UL and VDE and other standards specified in the wire), hydraulic hose, automotive hose, tape, rubber plate, PVC profile pipe modification, magnetic materials, ABS modification and so on.
